How did you learn to game?

I was practically raised playing Super Mario, Legend of Zelda, and other NES games. I remember playing those as early as four or five, then I got a Playstation a little later. I remember always having fun, but thinking back on it I wasn't too good at the time. I guess I just got better from practice.
